Easy Hawaiian Rolls
Ingredients
½ cup warm milk
¼ cup butter, melted
2 ¼ cup yeast (one packet)
3 tbsp honey or granulated sugar
1 egg
½ cup pineapple juice
3 cups of flour
Recipe:
Preheat oven to 350F
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, butter, yeast, and honey until smooth
Next, whisk in egg and pineapple juice
Add flour and salt to the bowl and mix until shaggy dough forms
Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead for 5 minutes or until a nice, smooth dough forms
Put the dough back in the bowl and cover with a dish towel. Place somewhere warm for an hour. The dough should double in size
Once the dough has risen, punch down and transfer to a clean surface
Cut the dough into 10-12 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place in a buttered 9x9 baking dish
Cover the baking dish with a towel and place on top of the oven to rise for 30 minutes
Brush the rolls with an egg wash (beaten egg with water or milk) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Enjoy the rolls fresh out of the oven!
