Easy Hawaiian Rolls

Ingredients

  • ½ cup warm milk

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

  • 2 ¼ cup yeast (one packet)

  • 3 tbsp honey or granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup pineapple juice

  • 3 cups of flour

Recipe:

  • Preheat oven to 350F

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, butter, yeast, and honey until smooth

  • Next, whisk in egg and pineapple juice

  • Add flour and salt to the bowl and mix until shaggy dough forms

  • Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead for 5 minutes or until a nice, smooth dough forms

  • Put the dough back in the bowl and cover with a dish towel. Place somewhere warm for an hour. The dough should double in size

  • Once the dough has risen, punch down and transfer to a clean surface

  • Cut the dough into 10-12 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place in a buttered 9x9 baking dish

  • Cover the baking dish with a towel and place on top of the oven to rise for 30 minutes

  • Brush the rolls with an egg wash (beaten egg with water or milk) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Enjoy the rolls fresh out of the oven!
