Thanksgiving Mule
Ingredients:
spiced cranberry syrup
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup frozen cranberries
1 cinnamon stick
1 sprig rosemary
for the mule
ice
1 oz spiced cranberry syrup
1 oz apple cider
1 oz blood orange juice
1.5 oz vodka
ginger beer
Recipe:
For the spiced cranberry syrup:
In a saucepan, stir together the water, sugar, frozen cranberries, cinnamon stick, and sprig of rosemary, over low-medium heat. Combine and bring to a boil.
Once the mixture is boiling, stir and turn the heat to low. Cover and the simmer for 5 minutes.
Once done simmering, turn the heat off, keep covered and let the mixture completely cool before straining and transferring to a container.
For the mule:
Fill a mule cup with ice and pour in the spiced cranberry syrup, apple cider, blood orange juice, and vodka.
Fill to the top with ginger beer, stir, and enjoy!
For the batch recipe:
In a pitcher, stir together 1 cup of the spiced cranberry syrup, 1 cup apple cider, 2/3 cup of blood orange juice (could substitute with lime juice), 1 1/2 cups of vodka, and 3 cups of ginger beer.
Optional: add frozen cranberries, sliced apples, and cinnamon sticks for garnish.
