Easy Foccacia Pizza

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet dry yeast

  • 1½ cup water, warm

  • 1 tsp cane sugar

  • 3 cup flour

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 2 tsp salt

  • ½ cup pizza sauce

  • Shredded mozzarella

  • Pepperoni, to taste

toppings

  • Burrata, to taste

  • Fresh basil

  • Olive oil

  • Chili flakes

  • Flaky salt

  • Pepper

Recipe:

  • Preheat oven to 425 F

  • Start by whisking together yeast, ½ cup of warm water, and sugar in a large mixing bowl

  • Add flour, 1 cup of warm water, olive oil, and salt to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms, it should be pretty sticky

  • Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and place somewhere warm for an hour. I like to

    turn my oven on low and place the bowl on top of the oven. This will help the dough double in size

  • After an hour, mix the dough once more, then stretch it into a 13x9 sheet pan, coated in olive oil. Put the pan on top of the oven for 15 minutes. Warming the dough up will make it easier to work with

  • Next, drizzle the dough with olive oil and dimple it. Add the pizza sauce and simple that in, then add the cheese and pepperoni.

  • Bake the pizza for 20-25 minutes. Add more toppings of your choice. I recommend burrata, fresh basil, olive oil, chili flakes, salt and pepper
